Development to bring together the College’s health and social care, sports therapy and active living curricula into one bespoke facility. £13.3 million pounds invested into the area with the creation of teaching spaces for health and social care.
The centre opened in 2019 and provides a modern learning environment for students studying courses in sport and health and social care. There is a full-sized 3G sports pitch, multi-purpose indoor sports hall and state-of-the-art simulation room.
‘The first of its kind in the region, the Health and Active Living Skills Centre enables young people and members of the public to gain access to modern facilities with the aim to improve the general health and wellbeing of the community.’
