Conversion works at Grade II* listed St Antony’s Convent at Leweston School in Sherbourne.
The first-floor school boarding rooms have been converted into new music facilities including a large performance room, classrooms, recording studio and practice rooms.
The building is recognised as ‘a particularly important building of more than special interest’ (DCMS 2010) primarily because its Art Deco interior provides substantial architectural interest.
Building services installations were designed and installed to be sympathetic to the building fabric whilst providing modern teaching facilities and useable classrooms.
We are over the moon with the results in the beautiful building.
The music school has opened in time for the September 2019 term.
